Kite Assessment - School Reports

At Hale Academy, we use the Kite Assessment System. This system takes the whole child into account including attendance, behaviour, rewards and academic progress.

In order to be able to access your child’s report, you will need to register your details on the system. Please follow the instructions below to register, if you have not already done so.

Please click on the link or copy and paste it into your internet browser https://parents.kite.academy/t/register.php. You will then be asked to register an email address. Once you have logged on, please click on ‘add a new child’. You will then be asked for your child’s name, school and current class. You will then need to wait for a member of academy staff to verify your details before you will be able to access any further information.

If you have previously logged on and accessed your child’s report in this way, we would be grateful if you could check that you still have your password. If not, you will be able to request a password reset by logging onto the Parent Portal and clicking the forgotten password link https://parents.kite.academy/login.php

Kite Assessment system identifies gaps in learning at key points in the year as well as considering pupils’ attitude to learning. This system means that teachers plan lessons based upon the needs of the pupils in the class. You will also be able to access the .\x sheet from the most recent assessment/teacher assessment point in reading, writing, maths and science. This information will allow you to see exactly where your child is, related to end of year age appropriate expectations. At the end of the summer term, the age-related expectation is usually “securing”. However, due to the significant disruption to school because of the Covid 19 pandemic, your child may be working below this level. Teachers are working to address gaps in learning. The report will show if your child has been part of an extra support group. Assessment (./x )information will be passed to the new teacher and any gaps will continue to be addressed in the new school year. Teachers will focus on the highlighted objectives which are key to supporting the learning for children to access the next year expectations.
